Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Scrapernode platform ("Service"), operated by Scrapernode ("we", "us", or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Scrapernode provides a web scraping API and platform for extracting publicly available data from social media platforms and other websites. The Service includes the Scrapernode web application, REST API, n8n community node, and related tools.

3. Account Registration

You must create an account to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials, including API keys. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

4. Credits and Payments

The Service operates on a credits-based pricing model. Credits are purchased in advance and consumed when scraping jobs are executed. Credit costs vary by scraper and are displayed before job creation. Credits are non-refundable except where required by law. Reserved credits for cancelled jobs are returned to your balance.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Violate any applicable laws or the terms of service of platforms being scraped
• Scrape private, non-public, or authentication-gated content
• Use the Service for harassment, stalking, or unauthorized surveillance
• Attempt to circumvent rate limits or other usage restrictions
• Resell or redistribute raw scraped data as a competing data service
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure

6. API Usage

API keys are personal and must not be shared. Rate limits apply to all API endpoints. We reserve the right to throttle or suspend access for excessive or abusive usage. You are responsible for securing your API keys; compromised keys should be revoked immediately in Settings.

7. Data and Intellectual Property

Scraped data is sourced from publicly available pages. We do not claim ownership of the data extracted through the Service. You are responsible for ensuring your use of scraped data complies with applicable data protection laws and the terms of the source platforms.

8. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Third-party platform changes may affect scraper functionality. We are not liable for data accuracy or completeness, as results depend on the source platforms.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Scrapernode shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenue, whether incurred directly or indirectly. Our total liability for any claim arising from the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for violation of these Terms. You may delete your account at any time. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Unused credits are non-refundable upon voluntary termination.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or through the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
